Bringing a Car
If you ask a random alumni what their number one piece of advice is going into the college program, 90% of the time it'll be to make the most out of it. But their number two piece of advice is definitely "Bring a car." While Disney provides transportation to each park, Disney Springs, Walmart, and occasionally Universal, this transportation is notorious for being terrible. With a car, participants will be able to go grocery shopping when it is convenient to them, visit Universal and other Orlando attractions whenever they wish, cut hours off their commutes, and not have to beg their roommates and friends for rides. Plus participants who drive are much more likely not to be caught in a vehicle that is on fire.
Participants that bring a car will have to pay a one time fee of $75 for a parking sticker. With this sticker, they will be able to park anywhere within their complex.
One thing that is important to note is that security is allowed to search your car at any given time without a warrant. The same rules provided for what is and is not allowed within the apartment complexes also apply to participants' cars.
