PhotoPass Photographer
PhotoPass is one of the few roles that requires cast members to move around the parks. In this role, cast members will check in each day and receive their assignment. At this time they will also check out all of their equipment which includes a Nikon D7100 camera, flash unit, extra battery, and PDA scanner. The photographer will then head to their location for the day.
Initially, photographers receive Icon training. Icon training encompases locations such as the castle, Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life. After about two weeks, photographers will receive night training. Night training is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, photographers will be taught how to take photos at night. After another 2-4 weeks, photographers will get character trained. Character training is, once again, pretty self-explanatory. It is recommended that photographers bring pens with them when working with characters as having some handy will benefit the characters and attendants.
